What Is Organic Vegetable Gardening (part 2 of 2)

Planting the seeds for your organic vegetable gardening is the second phase of this operation. The challenging part is making sure nothing happens to it until the time comes that this will be harvested.

Your vegetables may be under attack by pests, weeds and other animals. To prevent this from happening, you need to get a bird, a toad and even other insects to eat them. For weeds, the only thing you can do is pull these one by one from the ground. As for other animals, putting up fences and using animal hair, baby powder or deodorant soaps seems to be a good deterrent.

Mulch is another solution. This can be made from chipped barks, garden compost, leaf moulds and manure. It must be applied at 3 to 4 inches or 8 to 10 cm from the ground in order for it to be effective.

Some organically grown vegetables can also be done indoors. Take for example that tomato that can be grown using an organic container made out of clay, plastic or wood. Just don’t forget to give it some water daily and sunlight so it can grow.

You can place the containers outside during the day and if the weather is too cold, bring them indoors and put them somewhere else like in the western or southern windows of your home.

One more thing you have to remember about growing organic vegetables in such containers is not to use soil but rather a mixture of peat, perlite and vermiculite.

Organic vegetable gardening is challenging but it pays off when you are able to reap what you sow. This means additional savings and maybe even a small business if you want to sell whatever excess you have in the market.

What Is Organic Vegetable Gardening (part 1 of 2)

Vegetables should be part of everyone’s diet. If you don’t want to spend a little bit more for those organically grown and sold in the supermarket, perhaps you should consider planting your own in the garden. It is very easy to do that even your kids can join in the fun.

Organic vegetable gardening is the “in thing” these days as people have realized that the use of fertilizers and pesticides do more harm than good. Yes it will make the vegetables bigger or enable the farmer to harvest them faster but the chemicals used in making this happen could be detrimental to the health of those who eat it.

But since the early farmers never did that and relied only on sunlight and irrigation, this concept is making a comeback. These will also enable you to this at home since you have access to the three most basic things namely soil, water and sunlight.

What kind of organic vegetables can you plant? Well, just about everything. Some examples of these include broccoli, cabbage, carrots, onions, potatoes and a lot more. You just have to know which of them can be planted during the different seasons of the year.

Proper drainage is important for your vegetables. If there isn’t, you can check if it is feasible to grow these using a raise bed.

When you have done your research, you can now buy the seeds from the store. These are usually sold in packets so don’t forget to read the instructions before using them.

What’s the Hype with Mineral Makeup? (part 2 of 2)

Another thing with mineral makeup is that it tends to be more convenient for some women.  Mineral foundations can also be used  as concealer, powder and sunscreen.  Aside from these,  because of the component of the makeup it is water- resistant.  You can go ahead and swim in the pool for 80 minutes and still find your makeup intact.

Mineral makeup users claim that when they are using mineral cosmetics, the skin looked younger, firmer and flawless.  This kind of makeup is said to relieve the skin of the effect of the use of traditional cosmetics.  These minerals claim to put the glow back to the skin.

One of the skin problems among women are wrinkles.  Wrinkles can be attributed to sun and overexposure to it.  Mineral makeup is able to protect the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.  The good thing is that mineral cosmetics do not use chemicals to do protect the skin.  Chemical use could cause more skin problems in the future.

Mineral makeup has been both applauded by women and at the same tie receive criticisms from some experts.  Some experts say that the hype with mineral makeup is really unnecessary.  Since some of the minerals like titanium oxide has long been used for sunscreen.  As a matter of fact,  mineral makeup has been introduced in 1970s, but it is only noticed now.

The trend that people are looking for healthier alternative is pushing mineral makeup on top of the cosmetic list.  With people putting more attention to their health and welfare, they are becoming more conscious on choices they make with what they eat and what they put into their body.  This trend is making it possible for people to live healthy and wisely.

What’s the Hype with Mineral Makeup? (part 1 of 2)

Make-up has long been used by women to make their faces beautiful.  These last few years, mineral makeup has been much popular since there has been increasing concern if the makeup being used were chemical and preservative free.

Mineral makeup is not just used currently, its history can be traced back as far as 2,500 year ago.  Egyptian women has used malachite and galena as eye makeup and eye protection against the sun’s harmful and reflective rays from the desert.  Until now, North African and Indian women still used mineral makeup

As the name itself describes, mineral based makeup uses the various mineral elements from the earth.  Most commonly used minerals would be zinc oxide, iron oxides, titanium dioxide and bismuth oxychloride. Zinc oxide are can be found in ointments that are used ease irritation like diaper rash.  Titanium oxide, meanwhile, is present in sunscreens.   Another good thing on mineral makeup is that they are inert.  Since they are inert, bacteria is not encouraged to grow which happens in conventional makeup.

Mineral particles which compose the mineral makeup are large enough so that it would not penetrate the pores and cause damage to the skin and the pores.  But these makeup also have some vitamins and antioxidants as their component. They tend to get into the skin, so some women generate some reaction (mostly allergies) to these.  So when choosing makeup, mineral or otherwise, you should always consider this.

With mineral makeup, the chemicals and preservatives used in traditional makeup is not present.  To come up or achieve the color desired, inorganic materials are used.  So there are no artificial colouring or preservatives present in mineral makeup.   For example, mineral makeup removes talc which sometimes cause irritation.  Preservatives and talc may “suffocate the skin” and eventually cause acne, eczema and rosacea.

Brother Knitting Machines (part 2 of 2)

This problem is taken care in the electronic version of the brother knitting machine. An electronic machine can produce patterns with one stitch to around 200 stitches. This is the total number of needles in a standard-gauge machine. Hence we can say that the machine produces knitted projects which are as wide as the total number of needles. If you buy a bulky version of the machine then you can produce a piece that is about 144 stitches wide.

The brother knitting machines can be used to produce patterns and pieces of various stitches without any extra efforts. The fairisle pattern, single or multicolored tuck stitch, slip or skip pattern and so on can be easily done on this machine. You can even use laces like the drop lace, thread lace, normal lace or a fine lace to create exquisite patterns. The laces used to decorate your knitted piece can be knitted into your piece using this machine.

The brother knitting machine can also be used to weave, and knit reversible patterns. The machine can be affixed with external attachments like ribber attachments, which is used to undertake jacquard knitting. This type of knitting is similar to fairisle knitting but without any floats.

The electronic brother knitting machine can be used to create patterns that are uploaded on the web. By using a personal computer you can easily scan patterns, download patterns and then use them for your knitting projects. The machine has an optional garter carriage which can be used to knit and purl in the same row.

If you use a single bed machine then you are free to do your other work while the machine knits for you. The automatic version uses one color yarn at a time; this accessory is only available with the standard gauge machines.

The brother kitting machine also has optional extra accessories like ribber attachments, four color changer, garter bar and so. But when ever buying a machine always buy it from original distributors to get the high quality machines.

Hence by using these knitting machines you can easily create master pieces, to be gifted to your loved ones or to start your own household business.

Brother Knitting Machines (part 1 of 2)

As we all know knitting can be carried out in two ways, mainly hand knitting and machine knitting. If you are looking for good quality machine to create exquisite knitted objects then go for the brother knitting machine. The brother knitting machines are a big name in the world of knitting machine manufactures. The machine is known for its quality and the beautiful items it produces.

The brother knitting machines are Japanese made. As the latest technology is used to prepare these machines, you will get the updated and latest patterns by using the machine. The machines are available in two types mainly punch card machine and the electronic machines.  If you are planning to use this machine for households then buy a standard gauge machine with 200 needles that are 4.5 mm apart. But if you plan to start a business then buy a bulk machine with 114 needles that are 9mm apart.

The distance between every needle determines the thickness of the yarn that can be used in the brother knitting machines. The farther apart the needles the thicker the yarn, and closer the needles, thinner is the yarn that is used. You can use thicker yarns, in a standard-gauge brother knitting machine, as it uses alternate needles for knitting; you can also every third needle if the yarn is thicker. But this decreases the needles available for knitting, and because of this the width of the knitted piece becomes narrower.

The punch card brother knitting machine can produce patterns which are around 224 stitches wide. You can repeat this pattern across the whole width of the piece or use it to create motifs in specific parts of the piece. But the only problem with this machine is that you have to create knitted items that are either 24 stitches wide or in a number that is evenly divided into 24.

The Details Of California Living Will Forms (part 2 of 2)

Just to be sure, you may also appoint an alternate surrogate to take on the task of deciding on your behalf in case your original choice is not around or unwilling to perform his or her duties. Obviously, your health care surrogate must not be an employee/operator of the health care facility you are receiving care from – except if he or she is a co-worker or a relative.

Unless your living will explicitly restricts the power of your health care surrogate, he or she may formulate all types of medical treatment decisions for you. If you wish to impose such limitations in authority, you may do so by indicating that wish in writing. Then again, if you intend to be completely dependent on that person's ability to choose what is best for you, then placing restrictions would be pointless.

"Part 2" of the living will form permits you to provide detailed instructions pertaining to any facet of your medical care – with or without a health care surrogate. Options are typically supplied to you so that you can properly covey your desires concerning the withholding, withdrawal or provision of treatment to prolong your life. This also includes pain relief measures – or the lack thereof.

Appropriate space is also made available for you in case you want to write down additional instructions that are not presented in the choices. However, if you've already appointed a health care surrogate and is quite confident about his or her decision-making abilities, then completing this part of the living will form would not be necessary.

The third part of the form allows you to state your intent to donate your organs and/or tissues in the event of your death. "Part 4", on the other hand, lets you select and name the physician who will be primarily responsible for your health care and treatment.

After accomplishing the correct form, the date and your signature should be affixed at the end of the document. Aside from that, the law that regulates California living will forms essentially requires the presence of two eligible witnesses or a Notary Public during the signing. You also have the right to annul or alter the contents of the living will at any time.

The Details Of California Living Will Forms (part 1 of 2)

The California Probate Code Section 4701 regulates all types of advance health care directive in the state. If you have plans about making one for yourself, you may want to get to know what California living will forms are all about and what they normally contain.

Basically, a living will is a legal document that contains advance directives with regard to medical treatment. The form, once properly signed and filled out, becomes legally binding and takes effect in case of hospitalization – particularly if the patient falls into an awful and incapacitated condition.

For its contents to be acknowledged and implemented by a health care provider, the drafting of the living will should be consistent with the rules of the state regarding such documents.

In the state of California, you – as well as its entire populace – have the right to give out advance directive about your own medical care. In addition, you are entitled to appoint a particular person to act as your advocate or surrogate in making treatment decisions in case you fall into a persistent coma or terminal illness.

Several other rights are indicated in the state-specific form. So before you actually draw up your living will, try to be familiar with your options first – including the specific contents and parts of the appropriate health care directive form.

The "Part 1" of the living will form is the Power of Attorney. It allows you to assign another person – called a health care surrogate – to formulate health care determinations on your behalf in the event that you become incapable of participating in the decision-making process. Then again, your surrogate may also assume the responsibility in case you demonstrate or express unwillingness to decide for your own medical treatment.

How to put up a magazine publishing company (part 2 of 2)
1.Look for a good market of readers

With a lot of magazines available, it will be hard to find a target of readers that have not been addressed yet. And if ever, you find one, chances are the magazine for that niche was already created years ago, only that it did not work. But hey, nobody said that you too will not succeed. When you look for target readers do not just stop on the demographics. Research on the articles that they want to see in magazines. Zero in on the products that they feel they will be able to use.  You can even make a survey on the people that they want to be featured or the people in the field that they look up to.

2. Look for famous columnists

One secret to promoting your magazine and thus ensuring the success of the venture is to look for famous people in the industry. Their names are often enough to pull some readers into buying your magazine. They will also be able to help in marketing your magazine through word of mouth and industry news. Once everybody finds out that a recognized expert in the field is writing for a magazine, they will buy the mag, even just out of curiosity. It will be a nice start.

Even with the biggest name in the field in your magazine, without good content, your magazine will go nowhere. The number one selling point of any magazine are the articles that you will find within. Remember that having big names is just the introduction. What you need is to sustain the interest with features that they can relate to and use. To do this, you also need to hire good writers in the field. Pick one who does not only write well but one who has interests in the field.

How to put up a magazine publishing company (part 1 of 2)

Magazine publishing is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. More and more people are getting into the magazine publishing business, acknowledging the widening influence and scope of magazines. You only need to look around to see just where the industry stands now.

When before there are only magazines for beauty and clothes, now there are magazines for every conceivable subject in the planet. There are magazine for crafters and those who are gaga over scrapbooking. There is one about coin collection and antiques. There is even one that tackles the not so well known subject of ikebana.

Magazines have started to do niche marketing where they target specific readers. This is easier to do as few people will need to be informed about it.  Marketing, advertising and sales will not be as huge a deal as the marketing involved with magazines that have a diverse target market. In fact because of this, magazines that target a town or a community are also being put up to cater to smaller readers.

But putting up a magazine publishing is not as simple as it seems. It is hard to do and sometimes a headache to organize. But if you know the market and already know what to expect, starting a magazine can actually be easy to do. Here are some tips on how to put up a magazine publishing without having to go through the aches and pains in the head.

Business Branding Strategies and Tips (part 2 of 2)
Slogan or Tagline

Once you have the logo that you want, you can think of a slogan that will reinforce the message you are trying to communicate to the consumers. As long as you keep this part brief and straightforward, then this can be an effective branding tool for your business. This tagline will serve as an additional touch to the main message you are trying to give, thus giving you an edge over your competitors and highlighting the unique experience or service that consumers will be able to avail of.

One advantage that you can get with including a tagline is that it is not permanent, unlike the logo. Therefore, if your company wishes to employ a new marketing strategy, you can readily change your tagline to highlight this new marketing ploy. A tagline then opens up several opportunities to expand your marketing campaigns, as compared to the static nature of company logos because they are the ones more difficult to establish.

Colors and Images

As with logos, colors and images can be used to establish the identity of your business. Colors depict a corresponding set of emotions as well. Therefore, you need to carefully pick out exactly what type of color you are going to use in your logo in accordance with the image and personality of your business. Try to conduct a little bit of research about the different qualities of color types so you can determine exactly what best to use for your company.

Unique Services

When communicating your company brand into the market, highlight the services that only you can offer. If you can guarantee a service that none of your competition can, then you create an edge on your customers over the same businesses. Then, you can use that as a chief marketing strategy to draw more people into your business. An example of this would be a time guarantee on your delivery services, if you're in the food business.

Learning how to effectively employ these business branding strategies will help boost your company's campaign and be that much closer to your desired business success.

Business Branding Strategies and Tips (part 1 of 2)

Employing proper business branding strategies could spell the success for your business. Although it might be an intangible aspect of your business, it is basically what convinces people to buy or avail of your products or services. And when you garner enough sales, then only then can your business thrive.

What is a Branding Strategy?

A brand is not just a logo or a name, it represents your business identity. Therefore, it is a crucial part of the startup process for any business. Branding strategies are employed to provide the fundamental steps and recognize the valuable tools that will help create a strong business brand. In general terms, a strong brand is one that people recognize and believe to deliver good quality. Have you ever found yourself at the grocery choosing one product over the other because it is the more recognized or trusted brand?

It is therefore a branding strategy's objective to recognize what could turn your business into a trusted brand name. How can you make people trust your brand and its reputation? What should you do to communicate the objective and mission of your company? What is the message you are trying to send out to produce loyal customers? A sound business branding strategy will aim to find answers to these questions before you can establish a brand for your company that would excel in the market.

Create Name, Logo, or Website

Coming up with a name for your business goes hand in hand with creating a logo that will identify your company. When it comes to logos, always opt for something unique. Logos will be utilized in your advertising and marketing campaigns, so it must be well-recognized.

For beginners, think of a logo that will readily hint consumers about the nature of your business – such as whether you are in the food, automotive, or telecommunications business. Hence, choose images that are associated with the nature of your business and the products they will be used to represent.

Tips When Choosing Equipment and Materials for Dressmaking (part 2 of 2)
• Invest in dressmakers’ shears. Scissors can definitely make the job done, but if you intend to cut leather, denim, or other harder materials, you need to buy scissors with serrated edges---shears. Put the shears into their plastic sheaths after use to maintain the sharpness and good quality. Do not use your sewing scissors and shears for other purposes other than cutting fabrics when making dresses.

• Buy tailors’ chalk. When cutting fabrics to the shape of patterns, use tailors’ chalk instead of pens. Such markers are ideal for marking course materials and fabrics like suede, denim, and leather. Tailors’ chalk can also be easily removed after the dress is done.

• Use paper scissors when making paper patterns. As mentioned, do not use shears and scissors designated for cutting fabrics in cutting paper, plastic, or other materials. As an added tip, you should put together your sewing tools in a kit or box so that nothing will be misplaced.

• Invest in different colors and types of threads. Dressmaking can never be possible without threads. These are the materials that will put fabrics together. It is wise to buy different types of threads in different colors available. Use threads with colors that match the color of the fabrics to be used. Ordinary sewing threads are not ideal to be used for sewing leather, denims, and other hard materials.

• Pencils and rulers should not be forgotten. Tailors’ chalk can assume the job. But in most cases, pencils and rulers are still useful, especially when doing garment repair or alteration jobs. Pencils and rulers are not actually necessities for dressmaking, but you will surely not regret including them in your kit.

In the future, when you are already too familiar and skilled in dressmaking, you surely can proceed to doing the job without the use of these two trustworthy old friends.

Tips When Choosing Equipment and Materials for Dressmaking (part 1 of 2)

If you are trying out dressmaking or if you are already proficient in making outfits, you should know that choosing and using functional and good equipment and materials is important. You should not settle to use substandard machines and materials because you certainly do not want to make a substandard dress. Good choice can also make you enjoy the activity and avoid any unnecessary hassle.

You basically cannot make any dress on your own without using important and necessary tools. To help you get off the real mark, you have to invest in buying high-quality pieces of equipment and materials you need for doing the activity. To give you more ideas about choosing the right tools and materials for making a dress, here are several useful insights.

• Choose a good sewing machine. Modern sewing machines commercially available can facilitate sewing of intricate patterns into materials. In the past, sewing machines were only able to facilitate sewing hems and seams. More interestingly, despite modern features of the modern-day sewing machine, the equipment has also gotten more affordable. You could stick with the tried and tested brands.

• The tape measure is important because it is used to take body measurements. You can use plastic or paper tape measures. For more accuracy and reliability, there are linen tape measures available. Not only are tape measures used in taking waist, bust, and hip measurements. You can also use them when measuring alterations to your sewn dresses in the future.

The Power Of Eye Body Language (part 2 of 2)

On the other hand, looking down may mean that one is talking to himself, but this is more evident if there is also movement of the lips. It is also a signal of guilt or submission. Looking down on another person means that he is control of the situation or is talking to someone who is under his superiority.

Lateral eye movements can also indicate signs of dishonesty, distraction, or simply checking out the surroundings. When looking from one eye to the other then going up to the forehead, it means that you are looking at somebody with superiority. When going down to the nose, you are talking to someone within the level of your status. And when looking from one eye to the other and down to the lips, it indicates a sign of attraction or romance.

Eyes Expressions

Different emotions and mood can be expressed through gazing, glancing, winking, squinting, closing, and staring. Gazing indicates interest or concentration. Glancing indicates desire. For example, one glances at food. It means that has a desire to eat. Winking indicates an agreement, and it could also be a means of flirtation. A person would squint his eyes if he is uncertain or trying to evaluate or verify truthfulness. Closing the eyes means that the person wants a moment to be away from the world, or simply trying to remember. And lastly, staring indicates a state of shock, surprise or disbelief.

Eyes of Romance and Flirtation

You can use your eyes to show affection to another person. Winking is one way to flirt. The process of looking at someone, quickly looking away, and then staring back is an obvious indication of attraction. A lingering, warm gaze is also an indicator of romance or desire.

If you know how to read and understand the eye body language, you will know what the person you are conversing with would want to tell you. And, if you know how to properly use it, you can take control of any situation or know when is the proper timing to use different eye movements or expressions.

The Power Of Eye Body Language (part 1 of 2)

Cliché as it is, the eyes are indeed the windows of the soul. The eye body language is one of the most powerful mediums of nonverbal communication. It can either support or betray whatever you are saying. Even the slightest movement of the eye can indicate the biggest meaning.

Eye Contact

During a conversation, it is normal to have eye contact. It means differently in specific situations. Looking at a person directly to the eye means that you are interested in what he is saying. But the inability to take the eyes of another person when he or she is talking may also indicate doubt, suspicion, or lack of trust.

Appropriate use of eye contact also includes when to break eye contact. A long eye contact has many interpretations. It may mean a focused attention or sign of attraction. But this can sometimes be uncomfortable, thus the trick is to just look at the bridge of the nose. Long eye contact may also indicate a sign of authority or domination if one can do it without much blinking. However, prolonged eye contact may also pose as a threat, so breaking it from now and then is essential. But breaking it may indicate other meanings as well, such as situations wherein one wants to end the conversation, has been insulted or found out, or is being threatened.

Eye Movements

The eyes looking at different directions also have different meanings. When one looks up to the right, it means that he is imagining visual images.  Meanwhile, when he looks up to the left direction, it means that he is trying to recall a memory. However, there are still instances where it is in a reversed order, depending on the person. Try to test him first by asking him to recall a known memory and to picture out an event.

3 Basic Motion Types in a CNC Machine (part 2 of 2)

2.)Straight Line Motion

This type of motion would allow the programmer of the machine to command perfectly straight line movements within the machine. Unlike the rapid motion type, the straight line motion would allow the programmer to vary the rate of the motion or feed rate to be used during the movement. Examples of using straight line motion would be turning a straight diameter, taper, when milling straight surfaces, and when drilling for this is because these examples require straight cutting movement.

The common word to specify a straight line motion into a machine would be G01, for within this command the programmer will include the preferred end point within each of the axes.

3.)Circular Motion

This motion type would cause the machine to move in the direction of a circular path and is used to generate the radii in machining. When talking about points on circular motion feed rate, it is equal to that of straight line motion.

Other than that of straight line motion and rapid motion, there are two G codes that are commonly used when programming a circular motion into a machine. These are G02 and G03. G02 is used when the programmer desires a clockwise motion into the machine while G03 is used to make an anti-clockwise motion. To know which of the commands to use, the programmer must view the movement with the same perspective as to what the motion of the machine will be, may it be clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Another requirement that would be programmed into a machine that would be using circular motion is that the programmer must specify the radius of the arc that is to be generated. With brand new technological advances in CNC, an “R” word is now used to specify the radius.

For older controls in CNC machinery, an “I”, “J”, and “K” are used to specify location of the center point of the arc.

3 Basic Motion Types in a CNC Machine (part 1 of 2)

A Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine may have more than one motion type that it uses, but there are three most common motion types that are easy to remember. These are the Rapid Motion, the Straight Line Motion, and the Circular Motion.

All of these motion types may seem different but they share two things in common, which would be that they are all modal and the endpoint of each motion is specified in motion command. By being modal it means that the motion type would be in effect until changed otherwise.

3 common motion types:

1.)Rapid Motion Type

Rapid motion type is also called Positioning. The way this motion type is used is through utilizing the fastest rate possible of the command motion of the machine. Example uses of rapid motion are moving to clear obstructions, placing cutting tools to and from the desired position, and any program that provides non-cutting in their schemes.

The command that is usually programmed to a CNC machine is G00 because in this command, the end point for the rapid motion would be specified.

The CNC machine, with most controls given, will be able to move as fast as possible in all commanded axes. In the case of rapid motion, one axis may be able to reach its end point before other axes. Straight line movement will not occur with type of rapid command function and the programmer of the machine must take into account that there are no obstructions to avoid. Straight line motion will happen even during rapid motion commands when done with other controls.

What is an Economic Recession (part 2 of 2)

Despite the fact that the country has endured this time and again for over 50 years, there is still no way to predict when it will happen.

Some use the stock market as an indicator. Others use the inverted yield curve which uses yields on a 10 year and three month Treasury securities and the Fed’s overnight fund’s rate. The unemployment rate is also another which happens to be one of the things that make up the index of leading indicators.

There are people in the Bush administration who do want to call it an economic recession because this will make people panic but there are others who are brave enough to admit that it is here. Since it is going to be some time before the economy recovers again, everyone is advised to stay calm, save up and look for long term investments worth going into.

Apart from the war in Iraq, the economy is going to be one of the critical issues that both candidates have to address as they are campaigning for the highest post in the land. Whoever wins, they have to find a way to reduce the unemployment rate, help people save their homes and a lot of other things that affect the average American household.

An economic recession lasts months at a time. If it should continue for a much longer period, then this is called a depression which is something that the world and not only the US experienced at the end of the First World War. This lasted for up to 4 years that many hope will never happen again.

What is an Economic Recession (part 1 of 2)

What is an economic recession? This occurs when there is a significant decline in the economy which usually lasts for months. This is visible in terms of consumer spending, employment, industrial production, real income and wholesale trade. A technical indicator of this is 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth which is measured by the country’s GDP or gross domestic product.

Experts say that an economic recession is normal because it is part of the business cycle and things usually improve within 16 to 18 months.

During the business cycle, there is a period of recovery, expansion, slowdown and then recession. During recovery, the GDP of a country starts to move up. When the GDP grows robustly, this is the time that it expands. When consumers are not buying that much, this is when you have a slowdown. Because there is weaker demand, you have a recession.

The last economic recession occurred in 2000 and 2001 which featured three quarters of negative growth followed by three positive quarters then five more quarters of sub par growth. Experts say that the same trend will happen right now.

One solution that the government usually does is lower interest rates to help stimulate the economy. Just last year, the Federal government slashed interest rates three times towards the end of the third and fourth quarter year so that overnight loans between banks could be borrowed at 4.25% which happens to be its lowest in the past 2 years.

What makes the economic recession different from what occurred after the Second World War is that this one is caused by falling home values and a crisis of confidence among fixed income investors.

The Relationship Between Human Population And Deforestation (part 2 of 2)

The Historical Trends

Presently, deforestation research and studies show a few conclusions that can be made. At minimal population mass, it is achievable to preserve intact forests with vast land areas. Instead of the population being sustained primarily through agricultural land transformations, they can easily be fed with only small harvests with no particular need for land cultivation.

However, even in lightly inhabited locations, outside forces such as stipulation for cattle and lumber in other parts of the world can result to deforestation that is not directly associated to the confined population. This has proven to be one of the leads to deforestation in huge forests such that of the Amazon. They produce not for their own sustenance, but for the neighboring needs of other growing countries.

As the population increases, the demand to clear more forests also increase; likewise, the need for indispensable consumption drives people towards nature since there are no other viable forms of human survival. It is only a basic instinct to man that he feeds himself for the issue of continued existence. However, there can be methods to preserve the forest and yet still benefit from it. Usually, greed and power result to the damaging effects of deforestation. If it is controlled in rate, then the possibility of not harming the nature is a likely thing to happen.

What Man Can Do

Clearly, human population and deforestation are inseparable terms. Where there is a call for food, the need for land also arises; and the demand of logging and agricultural cultivation happens widely all over the planet. The means of not harming the earth while still surviving is very attainable. In bringing this to reality, we need men who are honored and dignified enough to protect the earth and its resources. The humans need to safeguard their treasures which they can benefit from all the time.

Nature finds its way back at us when we know how to nurture and nourish it. What man can do is simply about what man is willing to do.

The Relationship Between Human Population And Deforestation (part 1 of 2)

The term human population and deforestation have been used interchangeably through the thickness of time. Could this mean that the growing crowd of humans be the leading cause of our forest depletion today? Well, possibly that could really be the case.

After all, humans are responsible for everything that's happening in the planet, from the cutting of trees to the widening of roads and to the construction of infrastructures. They say that humans build for a better world, but is that really their purpose? Are humans actually building for the world or are they fostering for themselves?

It is unrealistic to emphasize the magnitude of destruction of humankind's wiping out of the forests. The conversion of forested lands by human deeds denotes one of the greatest threats in global environmental variation and one of the eminent drivers to biodiversity death. The influence and bearing of the people has been and carries on to be extremely overpowering.

Our vast resources are cleared, corrupted and disintegrated by lumber garner, transformation to crop growing, road construction, man made fires, and in countless further ways. The attempt to utilize and mollify the forest has been an invariable premise in the revolution of the earth, in various communities, and in many countries.  Deforestation and human growth has indeed brought a heap of implications in our planet.

The Healing Benefits of Fish oil (part 2 of 2)

Fish oil has been adopted as a good treatment for internal diseases for over a thousand years now and traces its roots back to ancient Japanese and Chinese natural healing methods.

Currently, thousands of cardio vascular sufferers have benefited from the healing powers of fish oil, and many of these consistent testimonials are that it significantly relieves stress and anxiety, strengthens the body's natural self-healing ability, balances the functions of the human organs and glandular systems, promotes a positive spiritual and emotional well-being, enhances relaxation including sleep, relieves pain, removes toxins from the body and strengthens the body's immune system.

Today, cardio vascular diseases and fish oil are mutually associated with each other, since a growing number of cardio vascular patients have found fish oil to be a healthy alternative to the treatment of the disease, although it is pointed out that it is not a direct healing medication that will actually 'cure' the disorder, its supplemental properties- when administered accordingly with conventional treatment- hastens the healing process.

The healing benefits of fish oil – especially for those suffering from cardio  vascular  diseases - are not just made popular by lip service or media hype, but more from the results of a healing experience that have eased the suffering and pain of thousands of those with cardio vascular diseases.

Science and technology has indeed found a way to harness this wealth of the deep for the benefit of mankind and now that we have it at the palm of our hands and what better way to make the most of it is to embrace the healing benefits of fish oil to our day to day living, be it for treatment or even just as a health supplement.

The Healing Benefits of Fish oil (part 1 of 2)

"What are the healing benefits of Fish oil and how can it help someone with cardio  vascular diseases?"

This is one of today's biggest question on one of this century's enigmatic disease called cardio vascular  diseases, which is often associated with one’s lifestyle, diet and even stress and depression.

The primary cause of cardio vascular  diseases is still not known, however, experts agree that emotional or physical trauma are among the factors that develop the disease. Some experts also believe that cardio vascular patients have constant abnormal transmission responses to pain.

Insomnia and other sleep disorders are also common in cardio vascular patients, leading to increased stress levels on the patient and could rapidly spread the disease throughout the human body, while another theory supposes that cardio vascular  diseases is also linked to the metabolical changes in a person's blood flow, leading to symptoms of weakness and chronic fatigue.

A much more simpler theory suggests that cardio  vascular  diseases may be inherited and flows along family lines, still there is also no proof to attest to that claim.

Although there is no established prevention for cardio  vascular  diseases to occur in a person, the management and treatment of the disease has significantly improved and advanced over the years.

Despite the somewhat enigmatic cause of this disease, one treatment method that is popularly adopted by cardio vascular patients is an Asian therapeutic treatment approach is fish oil supplements, since it is a very good source of Omega 3 acids which significantly help in ensuring good oxidation in the body and helps improve blood circulation and muscle strengthening, among them the human heart.

Body Language At Work ( part 1 of 2)

Art of Animation

Make use of your hands to punctuate or emphasize what you are saying. You will appear stiff if your hands will stay on your lap during the entire period of the interview. Hand gestures also signifies that you are honest and indeed knowledgeable of what you are talking about. You can do this while sitting or standing. During a presentation, move around, but walk slowly. The greatest presenters are those who can speak confidently with the right timing of body movements and gestures.

Gestures And Movements To Avoid

The wrong gestures, done consciously or unconsciously, could give the wrong impression to your boss, co-workers, and clients. These may be the reason of you getting fired. Therefore, you must avoid the following acts of body language.

Avoid pointing a finger at somebody, especially your boss. Even when you are angry or trying to emphasize a detail, it is regarded as a rude gesture. In meetings, refrain from showing signs of boredom and lack of interest. These signs include arms crossed over the chest, eyes on objects other than the person talking or the presentation itself, yawning, signing, drumming the fingers on the table, or tapping your foot.

Signs That You Are Not Doing A Good Job

If you are the presenter in a meeting or an applicant in a job interview, you must observe the body language of your audience as well. Reading their actions and movements could aid you to be aware of their reactions and if you are doing well.

You would detect if the other party is getting bored if their focus of attention is not on you. This is evident by the absence of eye contact. Observe their hands as well. Even if their eyes are on you, but if their hand are busy, it may mean they are thinking of something else. See if their fingers are playing with their pen or drumming on the surface of the table. Boredom is also indicated when the person in front of you begin to slouch back into their chair.

Signs of opposition to your ideas and opinions are also determined when the other party crosses their arms, wrinkle their forehead, and tilt their head.

However, the signs above sometimes do not reflect how someone really feels. What is important is that you know how to prepare yourself in critical times at the workplace.

Body Language At Work (part 1 of 2)

You can always use body language as a key to success in your work. You could give a good impression, convince clients, and please your boss. In communication, only 7% are the words and rest of the 93% is accounted for the nonverbal cues, which includes the aspects of speech and body language.

Appropriate Body Language During An Interview, Meeting Or Presentation

A job interview is usually nerve-wracking. But in order not to be included in the list of rejected applicants, you have to impress your interviewer by being confident. Here are the gestures and body movements you must observe during a job interview.

A firm handshake indicates confidence. Relax on the chair provided for you, but do not slouch. Slouching reflects laziness. Keep your heap up, and lean slightly forward. Place your hands on your lap, and never in your pocket. The hands-in-pocket gesture signifies nervousness, boredom, and dishonesty. As much as possible, do not cross your legs. But if crossing your legs would help calm your nerves, you may do so but point your body towards the direction of the interviewer. During the conversation, make sure you maintain eye contact to show your interest and eagerness to listen.
